Death notice, Morning Call: Domenic Curcio Domenic Tommy Curcio, 89, of Pen Argyl, died Sunday, September 25, 2005 in Slate Belt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Washington Township.Born in West Bangor on October 19, 1915, he was the son of the late Antonio and Anna (Guariglia) Curcio.Before retiring, he was the founder and owner and operator of the former Tommys Highway Service and Curcio Ford, Pen Argyl, for many years.He was a member of St. Rochs Catholic Church, West Bangor. He was a former member of the Pomfret Club, Easton, the Hillside Rod and Gun Club, West Bangor, and served on the Pen Argyl Area School District Board of Directors. During his years in business, he supported the Pen Argyl Green and White Youth Association and the Pen Argyl American Legion baseball teams. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and horse racing.His wife, the former DeLeila Lorenzet, passed away June 4, 1999. Survivors: He is survived by three sons, Anthony P. Skip and his wife, Shirley, Thomas M. and his wife, Kathy, and Richard J. and his wife, Bonnie, all of Pen Argyl; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews. In addition to his wife, two brothers, Ralph and Vito, and three sisters, Josephine, Carmel Charron and Connie Milunec, all died earlier. Services: Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 29 in St. Rochs Catholic Church, 1141 Verona Drive, West Bangor. There will be calling hours from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday evening and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 126 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Pen Argyl. Interment will be in St. Elizabeths Cemetery, Pen Argyl. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the church, 11 41 Verona Drive, Pen Argyl 18072. |
