Joe Flaherty: He lived in the Bachman Valley area somewhere near Jerusalem Church. Apparently, he farmed . He also had a patent for distilling liquors for Baltimore and Montgomery Co MD. Twice married, he had two children by his first wife and a daughter by his second wife. He made his will on May 7, 1815 apparently due to illness, and signed his name as Henry "Steinsiford." Some items in it stated that his father had been Daniel Stonesifer, that his deceased brother , John, had a son Henry to whom he gave $200 in current money, and that his distilling business was to be sold and the profits to go to his daughter. He made his wife Rachel, and his worthy friend Henry Craumer sole executors, but his wife renounced her part on Aug 7, 1815. The will was probated in Baltimore on Aug 19, 1815. It is now at the Hall of Records in Annapolis MD. |
