Shared note	Alan “Al” Harris Jr. Edwin “Alan” Harris, Jr., of Watertown, NY, passed away unexpectedly Saturday of injuries suffered in a car accident. After serving in the Army as a language specialist in Korea, Alan attended and graduated Gettysburg College. He began his business career in Miami, Florida working in the aluminum business for Russell Aluminum.In 1991 he moved to Watertown and embarked on a new career as a financial advisor with The Legend Group.He was a loving father who always had time for others. He loved golf and served on the Watertown Board of Directors as secretary. In addition he represented the Watertown Golf Club as a director of the Senior Golf Association of NNY. He was a member of the Watertown Planning Board and a volunteer of Literacy of Northern NY.He is survived by his children, Jessica and Eric of Seattle, Washington, and his brothers Paul of Lake Suzy, Florida and Chris of Syracuse, New York and his wife Dianne.Calling hours will be 4 to 7 pm Friday June 15th at D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc., 135 Keyes Ave., Watertown, NY.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Literacy of Northern NY, 200 Washington Street, Suite 300, Watertown, NY 13601. -- D.L.
