Windmueller Family Chronicle: Roschen Abraham was born in Borgholzhausen
where her father, Abraham Jacob received permission to settle in
1694 and marry Blümchen Samuel from Schildesche. Abraham Jacob had
seven children in Borgholzhausen and his "Letter of Protection" for
the village was renewed after 25 years in 1719. He was head of the
Jewish Community of the Duchy of Ravensberg in 1736. On March 10,
1720 he petitioned successfully to trade in Osnabriick, since as
a "foreign Jew" from a neighboring territory, such a permission was
required. As of 1737 he owned a substantial house in Bergholz hausen
which he acquired originally as collateral from farmer Johan Upmayer
in 1726.

The father of Bliimchen Samuel and grandfather of Roschen Abraham
Windmuller was Samuel Abraham who came to Schildesche from Principality
of Westphalia, being allowed to settle there by permission on the
16th of May, 1676. He was "Bader" in Schildesche, i.e. a form of
healing doctor, and owned an "inferior" house there. Samuel Abraham
was a step son of Seligman Moysis Reinbach, the "Juden doctor zu
Bielefeld" whose family was in Bielefeld in 1620. (source: State
