Shared note

Florence Hadley Heynen (15 Feb 1985): "I think Thomas Lennington's
parents were Thomas Lennington and Phoebe Soutward. I have sketchy
information about this Thomas' forebears but I believe his father
was also Thomas, his grandfather was John and great-grandfather Henry."

Sarah Lennington, Widow of Thomas, appeared before Kings Co. Court,
6 March 1839, and stated she was aged 83 (thus born 1755 or 1756),
applied for a pension on service of late husband. Per pension application

Note

The Wilson Family Tree by Bobi Palcio says that Thomas Lennington (born 1698) and Elizabeth Loosie (born 1685) had a son named Thomas (born 1723) who married, first, Phoebe Southard (born 1705) and second Sarah Van Sickles. The first marriage produced seven children, including Thomas Lennington (born 1749). The second marriage was childless (not surprising since Thomas Lennington (born 1698) died in 1752), that is to say only four years after the birth of the last child, Thomas (born 1749), of himself and Phoebe Southard.
