Mr. Kissam came to New York early in life, beginning his business career as paying teller of the Union Bank. Subsequently he established the banking firm of Kissam & Co. He retired from business on account of ill health some years ago but did not relinquish his connection with the Stock Exchange. His brothers, Benjamin P. and Samuel H. are prominent in Wall street circles. One of his sisters is the widow of the late William H. Vanderbilt.
Mr. Kissam married Miss Josephine DeMott of Bergen, NJ, who with two children survive him.
